We are currently seeking a talented Sales Manager to join our dedicated team during a 12-month maternity cover, with the potential for a permanent role based on mutual fit. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to advance their career within a leading independent dairy business.

About the role?

This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday working pattern. Our sales team operates on a shared Saturday rota (approximately 1 in 6). Flexibility is key in this role, as there will be occasional adjustments in working patterns to meet business needs.

You will undertake the following activities:

• Build and nurture strong customer relationships, particularly with supermarket chains
• Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities
• Collate and report on sales data to the supervisory team
• Collaborate across departments to align sales efforts with production capabilities
• Provide general administrative support and assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects

About you?

We're looking for candidates who bring:

• Proven sales experience ideally in the food sector
• Ability to lead, support and motivate teams with empathy, building trust and collaboration
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage with customers and suppliers
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, using tools such as Excel for data analysis, reporting and to inform decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Sage 200 being a plus.
• Confidence in presenting to customers, including using PowerPoint applications
• A full UK driving license and the willingness to travel as needed.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• A collaborative, friendly, and professional approach with a proactive, "can-do" attitude
