The Role
As a Sales Account Manager, you will take ownership of developing and strengthening relationships with local authorities while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will play a vital role in driving sales of industrial vehicles, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of the industry.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities to maximize sales opportunities.
Identify and target potential new clients and emerging markets within the region.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement effective customer strategies.
Provide strategic input and support for tender submissions to win key contracts.
Consistently meet and exceed revenue goals and sales targets.
Requirements
Proven experience in selling plant equipment or industrial vehicles (e.g. Refuge Collection vehicles, Street Sweepers etc.) into local authorities and public sector enterprises.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-lasting client relationships.
Strong technical knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate product benefits to clients.
High levels of self-motivation and drive, with excellent organisational skills.
IT proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
A valid UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively across Scotland and the North of England.
