Description:

The Best Connection are hiring for Estimators on a permanent basis for a large company based in Middlesbrough.

Due to company growth, there are 4 x Estimator positions available for successful candidates. The Client is an industry leader, and they are looking for dynamic individuals to suit their entrepreneurial organisation that offers exciting growth opportunities for those searching for a new challenge.

They are searching new employees to support a team of existing Estimators in preparing and sending out detailed door estimates.

The Role:

  • 3-month comprehensive training package
  • Produce and provide detailed estimates using the company's system within their agreed pricing strategy
  • Manage time and deadlines sufficiently when working on multiple estimates and ensure submissions are in line with agreed KPI's
  • Manage and establish relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Amend and upgrade client drawings and specifications to produce accurate estimates for their requirements
  • Liaise with customers over the telephone and by email, and operations and sales teams
  • Support customers in meeting their needs around their budgets

The Candidate:

  • Team players who work well with others, including different departments
  • Previous Estimator experience essential
  • Estimating experience within the Hardware Industry desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Knowledge of estimating software systems desirable but full training will be given
  • Strong customer focus and commercial awareness
  • Delivery focused and organisational skills
  • Able to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality

Remuneration Package:

  • Competitive basic salary of 35,000- 40,000 p.a. (dependant on skills and qualifications)
  • Profit share bonus based on Company performance, paid quarterly after the 3 month probation period

  • 24 days annual leave (increasing by one day with every year of service, up to a maximum of 28 days, plus bank holidays)
