So what will this role involve?

  • Handling initial prospective client enquiries received by phone, email, online and providing quotes by email through our online quoting system.
  • To provide an exceptional first impression of Slater Heelis to the client, providing basic information on our services, building rapport and ensuring the client feels confident in their choice of instructing Slater Heelis for their matter.
  • Directing viable new instructions when necessary to key relevant department staff for further in-depth discussions about the nature of their instruction.
  • Ensuring that all client leads are contacted within an agreed time, in line with the team service level agreements.
  • Ensuring that clients have returned all necessary information required for their file to be opened accurately on the case management system.
  • Liaising with key relevant department staff where necessary;
  • Liaising with other third parties with regards to the details of transactions or matters as appropriate.
  • To carry out any other duties appropriate to the nature of the post.

Miscellaneous:

  • To undergo any training appropriate to the post as required
  • To uphold the aims and principles of all the company's policies
  • To attend staff and departmental meetings as required.

Skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Exceptional client care and sales skills are essential.
  • An efficient and well organised individual who takes a proactive approach to their work.
  • Able to undertake a range of duties and to prioritise a varied workload with minimal supervision.
  • Process driven individual with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident and able to communicate effectively with both other staff and clients either face to face or on the telephone.
  • Strong IT skills, confident in working with a variety of IT packages and systems.
  • Some legal sector experience preferred.
  • Understanding of the principles of the SRA Standards and Regulations would be advantageous.

Hours of work & Location:

This is a full time role based at our Sale office.

  • Sales and client care experience.
  • Some office experience required.
  • Some legal sector experience preferred (but not required).
  • Good IT skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Proactive, efficient and well organised.
  • Ability to work under own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Adherence to principles of the SRA Standards and Regulations (including specifically the requirement to maintain client confidentiality).
