Description: | Technical Sales Specialist DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Based in Uxbridge UB8) The successful candidate will have been instrumental in achieving sales growth in their previous roles and will have a strong track record of regularly achieving or outperforming his/her own targets. He/she will have a good understanding of fluid-related products (Mechanical & Electronic), possibly with an applications engineering background. A key part of the role will be business development and prospecting for new customers. He/she will also be capable, after appropriate training, of handling technical enquiries and in some instances, providing estimates. The successful candidate, who will report to the Managing Director, will have a good understanding of fluid-related electro-mechanical valves & instruments, with a strong applications engineering background. Based at the office, sales visits nationwide would be required as and when planed. a 50/50 split between office and sales visits would be typical. He/she will be capable, after appropriate training, of handling technical enquiries and preparing technical proposals for customers.
• Refine specifications and select the applicable equipment to meet customers specification • Apply knowledge of flow equipment range to advise customers on appropriate solutions • Input into bespoke designs to meet customers requirements • Work closely with customers on the phone and via email (but also in person when a specific project or a customer requires it) • Routinely prepare quotations and proposals in line with customer requirements • Prepare cost estimates and generate pricing in line with company guidelines • Communicate with suppliers/manufacturers on technical and commercial issues where necessary • Maintain contact with customer after proposals have been made in order to ensure that the contract is won. • Contribute and report on opportunities during the monthly sales meeting • Provide support for marketing campaigns • Act as an influential and integral part of the team, proposing changes to improve designs or reduce costs.
