My client, a leading company in the procurement and supply chain sector, is looking for a Sales Administrator to join their team. This permanent position will play an important role in managing customer relationships and supporting the sales process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily with customers, Sales Managers, and Service Engineers by phone and email.
  • Review customer requests, spot any issues, and provide quick responses with the correct information.
  • Answer customer questions, resolve problems, and make sure product details are clear.
  • Prepare and check quotations, ensuring accuracy in part numbers and quantities, following company pricing policies.
  • Send quotes to customers and inform Sales Managers to follow up.
  • Enter customer orders into the ERP system and process them correctly.
  • Keep the dispatch/warehouse team updated on order changes.
  • Prepare shipping documents when needed.
  • Assist with creating presentations and gathering technical information for quotes.
  • Process sales returns and credits as needed.
  • Provide updates to customers about their existing orders.
  • Help with risk assessments and order checklists.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth running of sales and service activities.
  • Review quotes to ensure all pricing and costs are correct before they are sent out.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in sales administration, especially with technical or engineering products.
  • Knowledge of shipping within the UK and Europe, including Ireland.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • IT skills and experience with ERP systems, ideally Navision or SAP.
  • Experience with Ministry of Defence products is a plus.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work well in a team, especially with remote Sales Managers and Engineers.
