Our client, a freight forwarder is looking for an Account Manager to join their office in Witham.
Job Summary:
The role as an account manager will require you to manage the company accounts and head up the accounts team which includes two administrators & accounts supervisor.
Duties Include: -
Managing the accounts department
Management accounts, bank reconsolidations, VAT returns.
Processing salaries at the end of the month.
Overseeing the purchase ledger & credit control.
Managing the online banking & reporting daily payments made.
Make any amendments to sales/purchase invoices as requested by the operations team.
Reconcile duty/vat sales and purchase ledger from Sage to Def Sheet.
Preparing sale reports.
Authorise all payments made.
Clear any purchase ledgers payments down on SAGE.
Send requests to overseas clients for payment of invoices.
Any other duties as commensurate to the role
Skills Required: -
Proven experience as an Account manager
Proven knowledge of SAGE
Overall knowledge of all accounting duties
Dealing with Multi Currencies
Good communication skills
Teamwork skills
Working within a freight forwarding industry is not required but preferable.
