My client is a global software consultancy with offices in the UK, Canada, and Poland, specialising in providing highly skilled consultants to address client needs, bridge skills gaps, and support project delivery. We work with both private and public sector clients, aiming to be the best environment for consultants to thrive, learn, and grow professionally. Within this role you will be responsible for building and maintaing strong, lasting relationships with existing clients and understanding the clients requirements and proactively offer tailored solutions to meet their needs. You will also act as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries and concerns in a timely and effective manner to the best of your ability.



Role & Responsibilities

  • Track and analyse key account metrics, providing regular performance reports and updates on progress toward targets.
  • Manage engagement finances and ensure efficient budget oversight.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to deliver valuable insights to clients.
  • Utilise market knowledge to anticipate client needs and position the company as a trusted advisor.
  • Develop account strategies, identifying opportunities for expansion and up-selling based on client needs and service offerings.
  • Drive growth, innovation, and continuous improvement within day-to-day service delivery.
  • Stay aware of client challenges and bottlenecks, leveraging internal networks to offer new propositions that support client business development.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and take proactive measures to ensure high retention levels.
  • Lead contract renewals and identify opportunities for up-selling and add-on services.
  • Recruit new partners and manage promotional activities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Understand client objectives and proactively propose tailored solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, promptly addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of experience as an Account Manager in a IT Consultancy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, resourceful, action-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Solid commercial awareness, including understanding of fee structures and commercial terms.
  • Skilled in presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to handle objections effectively.
  • Comfortable working with professionals at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Experience delivering services to large clients, such as FTSE 100 companies or Central Government, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software engineering concepts is advantageous.
