They are primarily looking for someone with a proven track record of B2B sales of solar PV systems to commercial clients, experience in any of the following sector would align well for our client: Retail Centres, Industrial Facilities, Warehouses, Office Buildings, Hospitals & Medical Centres, Universities and Student Accommodation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute a well-defined sales strategy for selling the company's renewable products to new business customers across the UK.
  • Accountable for leading sales opportunities, including driving the sales process from plan to close, achieving growth and hitting sales targets, revenue objectives for new business
  • Grow and manage a pipeline and opportunities, reporting to management on a regular basis a view of pipeline, forecasting and actions to achieve closure.
  • Negotiate and secure client contracts
  • Be able to qualify opportunities through early analysis by collecting data and detailed information from customers.
  • Provide clients insight back to the business to help develop the company's proposition to the marketplace

Requirements:

  • Must have field sales experience in the commercial solar market - ideally 3 years +
  • Experience within the some or all of the following sectors advantageous: Healthcare, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Retail and Industrial Facilities
  • Solid and verifiable track record of overachievement and verifiable record of successfully growing market share
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand the technical workings of the product of the company line and convey the advanced technical product benefits to potential customers in easy-to-grasp terms
  • Proven track record of identifying, negotiating/converting and closing deals
  • Ability to identify and convert new accounts while maintaining existing relationships
  • Demonstrated success in operating effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, complex, rapid growth environment
  • A distinct customer service focus
  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication
  • A hungry go-getter with a strong can-do and hands-on
  • An energetic, highly motivated and driven person

The Managing Director of this company invests c 10k per month on lead generation and marketing campaigns which has led to their successes on gaining large commercial solar projects over the last 3 years, lead generation is key in their strategy for growth and this business have a high conversion ratio of appointments to business won, therefore, the OTE of 100k pa is a realistic figure and commission is uncapped so for high achievers the OTE could be must higher.
