Are you based in the North Devon or Somerset area?

Are you an experienced Regional Sales Manager with experience of remotely managing an external field based sales team?

Jewson, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is on the hunt for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the North Devon and Somerset area.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 730am to 5pm

Location: Hybrid working covering the Region and can use local branches as needed

Duties will include:

  • Developing strategies to promote the company's products and services

  • Hiring, training and motivating sales teams

  • Preparing sales forecasts, establishing sales goals for the region and communicating these to the marketing and sales teams

  • Collaborating with Customers to identify their needs and improve results

  • Establishing best practices and enforcing compliance with industry regulations

  • Performing market research and collecting customer feedback to improve service delivery

  • Evaluating performances, coaching, motivating and supporting the External Sales team

  • Maintaining cordial relationship with suppliers and customers in the region

Required Skills and Experience

  • A full UK Drivers Licence

  • Strong external sales management skills and commercial focus

  • Previous remote sales management experience

  • Current knowledge of building materials and of the current construction market in this geographical area would be beneficial to the role

  • Proven experience in customer facing business and a proactive sales and customer focused environment delivering results.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; written, phone and face to face.
