Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: 30,000 - 36,000 DOE, Negotiable + Generous Bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (44 hours per week)

Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Plumbing and Heating Sales Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client's trade counter in South Yorkshire.

This role requires a hands-on approach to providing exceptional customer service, managing stock efficiently, and actively driving new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the trade counter runs smoothly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring customers receive the products and advice they need.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the customer base through targeted outreach and relationship-building.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure the trade counter is fully stocked with key plumbing and heating products, minimising shortages and delays.
  • Handle customer inquiries, provide product knowledge, and resolve any issues efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Implement promotional strategies to attract new customers and encourage repeat business.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in plumbing and heating, trade counters, or merchant sales.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and building lasting client relationships.
  • Proven experience in driving new business and achieving sales targets.
  • A self-starter who can take initiative and identify opportunities for business growth.
  • Familiarity with plumbing and heating products, with the ability to provide expert advice to customers.
