The role:

The Business Development Manager will lead the sales initiatives, focusing on securing new logo clients in the renewable energy sector. This role is suited for someone proactive, results-oriented, and equipped with a thorough understanding of the renewable energy market and grid complexities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage potential clients in the renewable energy sector through both inbound and outbound leads.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aimed at securing new business, prioritising relationship building over transactional sales.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, aligning with the fast-paced nature of the market.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and client meetings
  • Work in tandem with the Account Management team to ensure a seamless onboarding of new clients.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
  • Demonstrated prowess in building strong, trust-based client relationships.
  • Competence in autonomous working and managing a remote work setup.
  • Deep understanding of the renewable energy market and grid operations.
  • Proven record of meeting sales targets and fostering business growth.
  • Right to work in Great Britain and well-spoken or native-level English proficiency.

Desired Qualifications

A relevant degree is favourable but not mandatory, provided there is significant knowledge or experience working with renewable energy and grid systems.

  • Offers comprehensive training and support, including one-on-one sessions with the co-CEO, access to a sales playbook, marketing, and ongoing learning opportunities.

Location

  • Fully remote role with occasional travel required for conferences and select client meetings in major UK cities, including London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Birmingham.
