The Director of Marketing, EU - WuXi STA and TIDES is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to build and grow brand awareness and customer acquisition for the STA and TIDES business in the European region. This role builds strong global, regional and local relationships with experiential knowledge to help drive sales through strategic marketing plans and execution. This position oversees the development and execution of marketing strategies and programs to achieve drug development sales objectives. This position works with the sales organization to help achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities include defining marketing strategies, annual marketing budget planning, ensuring execution of marketing plan, understanding our customers, tactical planning and execution and collaborating with other key teams in the organization.
Providing leadership to:
Create/contribute strategy & positioning of the STA and TIDES brands
Develop and execute marketing plans
Track progress against plans and escalating issues and course correcting as needed.
Reporting and communicating metrics to key stakeholders and business leadership
Other responsibilities include:
Understand biopharmaceutical customer needs through market research and client interaction for existing and future products/services
Plan and drive message
Plan, develop and execute new service launch Marketing plans and strategies through the marketing teams
Work with Sales Director(s) on gathering market feedback and implementing of strategic plans
Present plans and updates to marketing and sales leadership
Creates and executes strategy and tactical plans through the marketing team including: seminars, tradeshows, webinars, KOL discussions and other key marketing events
Performs special projects and other duties as required
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, communications or related field required, MBA desired
Solid knowledge of the CRO/CDMO, pharmaceutical and/or biotech industries is required
Minimum 7 years' marketing experience including developing strategic marketing plans to support existing and new business
Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to present to leadership at Biopharmaceutical companies
Outstanding organizational, analytical and Program and Project Management skills including mentoring and coaching to develop strong teams.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to use judgment as dictated by complexity of situation
