Area Sales Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager covering the North for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client is a large, growing and reputable manufacturer and supplier of construction equipment on a national and international scale. They are looking for someone to cover the North of England including Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield.

Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager

• Generate leads.
• Build new relationships and network with new and existing clients.
• Identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare and follow up quotations.
• Develop and execute the sales strategy.
• Attend trade and consumer shows.
• Update clients on machine prospects giving probability and timing of each prospect.
• Competitor research and analysis.
• Extensive travel in the UK and overseas as required.

Requirements for a successful Area Sales Manager

• Previous Sales Management experience in a similar industry.
• Target driven with a passion for sales.
• Proven Sales skills with an entrepereneurial drive.
• Thorough understanding of the industrial and construction markets.
• Outstanding communication skills with ability to build a rapport with people of all levels.
• Computer literate.
• Commercially astute.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK.

Summary of the Area Sales Manager Role

Salary: £43,000 - £46,000 plus bonus
Job Location: Field based covering the North

Hours: 40 hours
