Description:

Join a sucessful expanding manufacturer of HVAC fire safety products as a Business Development Manager. This role covers London and the South of England, focusing on driving business growth through strategic sales and networking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Sales: Promote an extensive range of fire and smoke safety HVAC products.
  • Travel & Office Work: Allocate three days a week to fieldwork and two days in the Kent office.
  • Project Management: Secure and manage projects with top-tier main construction contractors.
  • Specification Sales: Achieve product specifications with M&E consultants.
  • Client Engagement: Cultivate relationships with M&E contractors and HVAC distributors.
  • Business Development: Dedicate 70% of efforts to new business development and 30% to account management.
  • Order Management: Oversee the entire order process, with project values ranging from 100k to 300k.
  • Support Role: Provide support and deputise for the Sales Director.
  • Team Collaboration: Engage in weekly virtual meetings with the field sales team.

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a highly motivated professional with:

  • Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in field sales within the HVAC sector, preferably with fire safety products.
  • Client Relationships: Experience in selling to top-tier main contractors or in HVAC specification sales with M&E consultants.
  • Product Knowledge: While specific knowledge of fire safety products is not required, comprehensive product training will be provided.
  • Skills: Proven ability to generate new business, manage and expand existing accounts, work independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills, IT proficiency, and a proactive attitude.

This permanent position offers a base salary dependant on experience, a bonus and excellent prospects for the right person. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
