If so this Business Development Manager role would be the perfect opportunity to drive market growth for a technical product engineering business specialising in fibre optic perimeter, intrusion and location detection security systems.
This role is home based and involves regular monthly travel to client sites across Germany, Austria, Slovakia and the Czech republic so easy access to an airport is important.
Responsibilities: Business Development Manager:
Winning and opening new business opportunities across European security and detection markets either through distributors, integrators or installers
Growing and developing relationships with new and existing customers for their security and detection system needs
Identifying and preparing bids and proposals for potential projects
Your Role: Business Development Manager
Identify and win new business opportunities within the security and detection markets
Develop relationships within existing customer base as well as establishing relationships with new customers
Conduct regular market research identifying key market trends that influence R&D strategies and technology roadmaps
Research organisations, sectors, territories and individuals to identify appropriate new leads and potential new clients within the product security and detection sectors
Negotiate contracts and commercials terms with new clients and ensure the successful delivery of all new products
Your Background: Business Development Manager
A good technical background within product sales for various security and detection systems (CCTV, IR Sensors, fibre optic perimeter systems, lasers, airport security etc)
Strong German speaking to hold professional conversations with customers
Ability to independently scope out and win new clients and project opportunities
Skilled in preparing project proposals, presenting to customers and negotiating contracts
A proactive, driven and tenacious sales approach with strong attention to detail, meeting deadlines and sales targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships with colleagues and clients from all cultures
Highly customer focused and able to understand technical customer related issues in order to sell company products and technologies
The Business Development Manager will be working with clients across EU regions so a willingness to travel is required.
