About the role

Background and details:

We are seeking a self-motivated, well-organised individual who will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and developing client relationships in the Southeast. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential projects and opportunities, setting realistic growth targets, and contributing to the company s sales strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients and industry partners
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities
  • To represent the Komatsu brand and take responsibility for the sale of capital equipment in a given sales territory
  • To achieve agreed sales targets as specified.
  • To provide all necessary information to the Sales Support department to facilitate order processing and machine delivery
  • Accurate and timely completion of all sales related documents i.e., warranty, service contracts etc.
  • To utilise and maintain CRM system encompassing call planning, sales opportunities, market intelligence, competitive activity and forecasting
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate leads
  • To maintain close liaison with customers and other departments of MKL to ensure the promotion of exemplary customer service.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of plant industry
  • Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Strong communication skills and excellent presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team desirable
  • Vast experience of working in a similar role and industry desirable
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets desirable
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales analytics tools desirable
