About the Client:
Our client is a UK business and part of a global pharmaceutical company, manufacturing tertiary and own label OTC (over the counter) medicines in the UK and Europe. They are looking for a National Account Manager to join on a permanent and full time basis.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Commercial Director of the UK, you will be responsible for developing sales and growth to increase the company s share of the market.

Whilst the role is predominantly focused on securing new business within the grocery and discount channels, you will also be responsible for ensuring relationships with existing key retail accounts are maintained. There will be set targets to achieve on a month-by-month basis, whilst at the same time identifying new opportunities and growing existing business through NPD.

This role is primarily home based with the need to be in the office once a month; the company has sites in Yorkshire and the outskirts of London. It s an exciting time to join, as the business is in the earlier part of their journey developing the retail channels.


The Successful Applicant:

  • Experience in a similar role working with grocery and/or discounters at national account level is essential
  • Experience with medicines/OTC/pharmaceutical, health or beauty products is essential
  • Experience of working with an own label product range would be highly desirable although branded experience will also be considered
  • Proficient IT ability
  • This role requires travel to customers, therefore a driving licence and having your own transport is essential


What's on Offer:

  • £50,000-£70,000 basic salary, dependent on experience
  • Monthly and quarterly bonus, based on personal performance/targets
  • 21 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Home based with one day a month in the office (sites in Yorkshire and outskirts London)
