Job Title: Head of Colleague Communications and Advocacy

The Role

To achieve a high level of colleague engagement and positive sentiment, growing colleagues' confidence in our corporate brand narrative through multi-channel internal communication (Viva Engage, email / intranet) and social advocacy programs that amplify the brand narrative on external platforms (Linkedin, Glassdoor). To drive positive perceptions of the brand with prospective talent.

Outcomes of the Role
  • To nurture a deep understanding of the company's priorities and strategy, including brand purpose, positioning, employee value proposition and overall brand strategy.
  • To develop a positive brand narrative for key audiences (colleagues and the communities they belong to, prospective talent) cascading it into key touchpoints (website, intranet, social media) in partnership with CEO, People Office and GEC.
  • To drive positive colleague / prospective talent engagement by:
    • designing and delivering multi-channel Internal Comms (email, intranet, Viva Engage, events etc) and Social Advocacy programs (LinkedIn, Glassdoor etc)
    • producing high-impact relevant content for each channel and platform
    • community managing it, to promote its amplification to connected audiences
    • through an in-house team of comms professionals.
  • To define and manage the relevant martech tools required by this function.
  • To bring rigour to how internal comms is conducted through rigorous KPIs.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Internal communications strategy and planning across a number of modern channels beyond email (i.e. intranets, Viva Engage, events, town-halls etc).
  • Colleague brand advocacy programs via key social platforms (Linkedin, Glassdoor).
  • Meticulous understanding of how each digital channel works in order to maximise its adoption, and of the modern martech required for effective internal comms.
  • Ability to influence and coach CEO and Group Exec stakeholders.
  • Excellent influencing including conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Highly organized, attentive to detail and highly flexible with changing requirements.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and writing skills.
  • Operating as a business partner to the People and Operations functions, covering both BAU and project-driven communications.
  • Leading colleagues' digital advocacy programs that drive brand pride.
  • Partnering with recruitment teams to amplify the Employee Value Proposition.
  • Leading a team of high-performing internal comms professionals well versed across the modern digital mediums, particularly digital engagement platforms.
  • KPI-driven approach to Colleague Engagement through comms.
