Job Title: Global Head of Taxation Reports to: Chief Financial Officer / Chief Accounting Officer Location: Mumbai Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Global Head of Taxation to lead our global tax function, providing expert guidance and oversight on all tax-related matters. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of international tax laws, transfer pricing regulations, and practices, with the ability to drive tax strategy, risk management, and compliance across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement global tax strategy, aligning with business objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and oversight.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements worldwide.
- Manage effective tax rate of the group through efficient tax planning.
- Manage tax risk, including transfer pricing, dispute resolution, and controversy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations.
- Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Stay up-to-date with changing tax laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local finance controllers in each operating jurisdiction and tax advisors.
- Oversee tax planning, provisioning, and reporting, including financial statement disclosure.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency in tax operations.
Requirements: - Should be a Chartered Accountant having minimum post qualification experience of 15 to 20 years in taxation field with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of international tax laws, regulations, and practices.
- Proven experience in tax strategy, risk management, and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience within the media and entertainment sector is highly advantageous.
