Coventry/Hybrid

The Key Account Manager will drive profitable growth within the company's product lines, build and maintain strong relationships with OEM customers, and develop and execute account strategies aligned with CS Global Account Sales Strategies. This position reports directly to the Global Account Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth and profitability strategies at the designated product lines.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to increase market share.
  • Serve as the liaison between OEM customers and Client; travel as necessary to visit customers; lead negotiations and communicate cost and timing to customers; prepare and deliver customer presentations.
  • Lead the 'Voice of the Customer' at Client.
  • Manage Request For Quotations from customer requirement collection to internal coordination.
  • Oversee commercial aspects of projects to ensure proper profitability levels.
  • Manage current product sales in terms of delivery performance and payment resolutions.
  • Support products in production by addressing quality, service, pricing, technology, and performance issues.
  • Execute the customer strategy plan aligned with product line strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer purchasing and engineering organisations.
  • Monitor and coordinate the process for charge backs and overdue resolutions.
  • Lead opportunities to improve profitability, such as price and volume increases.
  • Work with the global engineering team to communicate technical requirements and market trends to technical centres.
  • Survey market trends to anticipate customer requests and contribute to the development of new technologies.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in the automotive industry is required, with a preference for international environments and high-stakes negotiations.
  • Keen understanding of JLR processes and systems, including QAFs, ED&T Workbook, ESOW, and JLR COVISINT Portal access, is advantageous.
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Business is preferred, with a strong interest in HV and LV automotive connections.
  • Fluent in English with excellent organisational and structured work capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team setting.
