Redwood Search is working with a Worcester-based professional service consultancy to recruit an ambitious New Business Development Manager. This is a pivotal role identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the professional service industry. You are a natural hunter, highly motivated, and results-oriented, with a passion for driving growth and expanding the client base.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and target new business opportunities
Consultatively sell a solution
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other business development strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and ensure client requirements are met.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities.
Negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage the transition of new clients to the account management team.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular updates on business development activities.
Key Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or similar role within a service or solution-based environment.
A true new business hunter with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of service and solution sales, with the ability to present complex offerings to prospective clients.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions.
Experience using CRM software to track sales activity and manage pipelines.
