Description: Kingsley Consulting is engaged with a leading Construction Product Manufacturer to recruit a Trainee Area Sales Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client partner is one of the UK s leading manufacturers and suppliers in their field of construction products. The business has a fantastic pedigree in their sector and are very well established with a fantastic culture within their team.

This Trainee Area Sales Manager position will be focused on learning and developing their sales and account management acumen whilst naturally building and developing strong relationships with Construction Contractors, Merchants, and Distributors, with the view to generate sales and project opportunities for the business.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Attractive bonus structure
Benefits: Company Vehicle + Additional benefits
Location: Remote Based (With Travel to the West of London and Thames Valley areas)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn and develop a solid understanding of the industry and become well-versed in the range of products and services offered by the company through comprehensive product training.
  • Learn the intricacies of contractor / distribution sales, collaborating with customers, contractors, and industry professionals to secure on-going sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with these clients, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Receive training on effective sales techniques and strategies to promote products and solutions successfully.
  • Assist in creating compelling proposals and presentations, showcasing the benefits of the company products and solutions.
Skills & Experience:
  • Knowledge of Construction related products would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Driven to learn, develop and apply themselves within an external sales environment
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic sales environment.
  • A proactive and results-driven attitude
Prior experience working in construction product sales is not mandatory here as this position offers an excellent opportunity to receive comprehensive training, dedicated support, and continuous development within a leader of the industry.

There will be minimal level of expectation on this individual to deliver new business results straight away, as this role is for the long term and the right application, tenacity, drive and want to develop is more so what is needed from someone at this level.
